Splendido Mare Launch

Splendido Mare was originally marketed as an extension to its more famous neighbour, Splendido. We relaunched the hotel in its own right in 2021, with a full refurbishment by Festen the hotel was established as the younger, more hip destination hotel in Portofino

To build interest in the month preceding the launch, and to create buzz in the crowded space we envisaged a full marketing program with pre opening content, a full rebranding of the hotel and then moving to a launch phase with lifestyle, product and food and beverage photoshoots. We also created a brand film to cement the hotel’s position as the place to discover the ‘real’ Portofino. Over the summer of the launch we also supported a number of events including reinstating the famous regatta

The hotel is now seen as ‘the’ place to be seen and seen in with a unique brand positioning and full suite of materials plus strong results across all channels:

  • Total film views 1.9M

  • 43k unique website views (+516% vs. previous two weeks)

  • 47k views on Instagram 970k Impressions on paid

  • +300.000 contacts received the opening email:
