Creating individual property brands that celebrate the uniqueness of each product but have a strong brand aesthetic
Working with Christian Nelson we created a design system for the individual products of the Belmond which celebrates the uniqueness of each product but from within a universal design schematic.
Based on extensive research on each of the products we gave each product an individual colour, pattern and emblem. This freedom of expression gives confidence to celebrate the individuality of each product.
The in room box has become a signature item for Belmond. Each one extends the invitation to the guest to explore, every item in the box is stack on top of each other to entice the guest and with fun items like luggage stickers and Directories written like story books the experience is designed to engage. The system was set up to be easy for housekeeping to monitor stocks. Mixing colour, patterns and luxury finishes we created a full set of items that are both elegant and informative. A range of maps, menus, merchandise and practical items like car park tickets, laundry maps – all templated with clear guidelines that properties can amend and implement with their own colours
